Savills has swelled the ranks of its office agency department in Madrid with the appointment of Ignacio Sobrino who will be responsible for business development within the team.

With an MBA in business management, Ignacio has more than 10 years experience in the commercial property sector and joins Savills from Tasinsa, where he was a director. Prior to this he spent three years with Jones Lang LaSalle having established his real estate career at DTZ Ibérica in 2000.
At Savills Ignacio will work closely with head of office agency, Ana Zavala, to build on the Madrid office agency team’s existing experience and practices to develop and maximise their business potential.

The office market in Madrid saw a resurgence last year, with a 40% increase in take up compared with 2009, which is an encouraging figure. At the moment the market is very competitive in terms of the quality of supply on offer at good prices, which should lead to a renewed interest in the central business district from large corporations."
