Savills secures exclusive leasing rights for shopping mall at Hinode City

Ha Noi, 17 October 2024 - Savills Viet Nam and Trading Construction Works Organisation have signed a strategic partnership agreement for the exclusive leasing of the shopping mall at Hinode City. Savills will provide comprehensive services in this role, including planning, execution, and reporting on marketing and leasing activities, representing Trading Construction Works Organisation in direct dealings with tenants and other brokerage firms.

In October 2024, Trading Construction Works Organisation officially appointed Savills Viet Nam as the exclusive leasing agent for the Hinode City shopping mall at 201 Minh Khai Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Ha Noi.

The project, constructed on a site spanning over 28,000 m², features three 26-story towers comprising luxury apartments, hotels, serviced apartments, and a modern shopping mall with nearly 25,000 m² of leasable retail space. Hinode City is set to become a diverse, modern complex with office services, hotels, a shopping mall, and upscale apartments, all imbued with a distinctive Japanese influence.

Located in the heart of Hai Ba Trung District, at the intersection of two major roads, Minh Khai and Kim Nguu, Hinode City secures a prime position, connecting it seamlessly to the city centre.

Additionally, the retail area within the Hinode City project will benefit from the dense residential clusters surrounding it, catering to families and young residents living in both the development and nearby neighbourhoods. The project is also surrounded by key amenities, including major universities like National Economics University, Ha Noi University of Science and Technology, and Ha Noi Open University, as well as major hospitals such as Bach Mai, Thanh Nhan, and Ha Noi Lung Hospital.

With the advantages of its prime location and densely populated community, the retail spaces at Hinode City are expected to attract a diverse range of brands across various sectors. The retail area stretches from basement level B1, which will house supermarkets, shopping, and entertainment venues, up to three floors dedicated to fashion brands, restaurants, sports, bookstores, education centres, cinemas, and new entertainment concepts.

Sharing about the project collaboration, Mr Le Tuan Dung, CEO of Trading Construction Works Organisation, stated: “Hinode City is a project to which the corporation has devoted significant effort to provide the community and the region with a modern living space and a desirable place to live, offering numerous amenities. We trust and have chosen Savills as the exclusive leasing agent for Hinode City Mall.

We are confident that, with Savills extensive experience accumulated over 160 years of development and nearly 30 years of operation in Viet Nam, Savills Viet Nam will effectively manage the leasing activities of the shopping mall. This will contribute to the growth of Hinode City Mall and serve as a foundation for developing a retail mall chain in the corporation's future real estate projects."

In the coming period, as the exclusive leasing agent for Hinode City, Savills will represent the developer in seeking and engaging potential tenants for the shopping mall. To optimise the space and ensure the long-term appeal of the retail area, Savills will focus on finding the most suitable tenants. During the project onboarding, Savills is responsible for planning and reporting on all marketing activities, ensuring a smooth leasing process that meets the investor's objectives.

Mr Matthew Powell, Director of Savills Ha Noi, shared: "Hinode City Mall project marks a strategic partnership between Savills Viet Nam and Trading Construction Works Organisation. We are confident that, with the experience and dedication of Savills commercial leasing team, the shopping mall at Hinode City will be developed into a new and attractive shopping and entertainment destination in the capital."

The project is expected to open officially in 2025. Trading Construction Works Organisation is focusing all efforts on completing the shopping mall space. Meanwhile, Savills commercial leasing department prioritises the retail space layout to offer diverse experiences, ensuring the long-term and sustainable development of the shopping mall.
