Khuong joined Savills Vietnam since 2010 and is presently Senior Director of Investment. Khuong is responsible for leading Savills investment department’s growth nationwide.
Some of the successful deals that Dr. Khuong has worked on whilst with Savills include the sale of Saigon Tower to Daibiru in 2011, the sale of a significant development project to Sun Wah in 2012 (now is Sun Wah Pearl) and the sale of the Saigon South Residences project to Phu My Hung in 2015. Dr. Khuong’s most recent deal set a new precedent for the Vietnam market, with the strata sale of the office space within a mixed-use project located in HCMC. No such deal has ever been completed in Vietnam before and it demonstrates the team’s ability to not just consult the most significant deals in Vietnam, but also work on deal structuring for the most sophisticated of real estate projects.
Prior to joining Savills, Khuong served as Head of Real Estate at VinaSecurities (formerly known as a VinaCapital subsidiary) and Vietnam Partners LLC, a U.S. Investment Bank. Dr. Khuong was previously Representative Officer for JICA D/D Study Team in HCMC for the Japanese ODA-funded US$360million Thi Vai - Cai Mep International Terminal Project, where he played a key role in making the project come to life. Prior to JICA, Khuong worked for Montgomery Watson Harza – Meinhardt J/V (MWH J/V) as Deputy Project Manager on the start-up phase of a large water supply project for HCMC with approximate €130 million in total by BOT fund.
